On January 25th, the MMI programme was pleased to welcome Irene Au (Vice President of Udacity, formerly Head of User Experience at Google) and Bradley Horowitz (Vice President of Social Product at Google).
In the morning, Irene gave a lecture on User Experience and, together with Bradley, took part in a wide-ranging Q&A session that covered topics as diverse as augmented reality, Google’s long-term strategies and societal changes that have been brought about by technology.
In the afternoon, Irene and Bradley sat in on pitches of the MMI students and gave valuable feedback on the early versions of their graduation concepts.
The day was an overwhelming success, with both students and staff finding the experience inspiring, and Irene and Bradley expressing their positive impressions of the MMI programme. There is now a mutual interest to discuss ways in which the MMI programme can develop further relationships with both Udacity and Google and we are looking forward to building upon the success of this day.
