Game Architecture and Design projects (IGAD)
The Game lab is the link between the IGAD programme of NHTV Breda University of Applied Sciences and the industry. The Game lab is an in-home production house in which concepts and games/animations are developed for external clients. The Game lab covers projects in the field of game development, art and technology and production and design.
In many cases you as an external client have only a rough idea of a game. Under the supervision of a lecturer this rough idea can in the end lead to a game or animation by the executing the following steps:
- Intake assessment with you by the account manger and/or a lecturer
- If necessary a lecturer will do some days of business consultancy (together with students) for the development of one or more concepts for the game
- You can approve (one of) the concept(s)
- The game is developed by students under the supervision of a lecturer
During both the development of the concept as well as the game there will be feedback on a regular basis with you to check whether the development is on the right track.
To get a good idea of what you, as a client, want we kindly request you to describe your project as extensively as possible in English.
After the intake assessment we will give you an offer for the concept development. Part of the concept proposal will be a rough cost estimation for the development of the game as well as a planning.
You should take in account that the development of a game or animations is a matter of months and depends on the capacity of students we have in the Game lab.
