In September 2013 we will start with an Executive Programme for for people working in the media industry with a few years of experience and for lecturers who still need to obtain a master’s degree and who lecture in business administration, media studies, communication studies, ICT, or another media-related field. The programme consists of 5 modules: Development of Media, Media Theory, Business Models, Media Technology and Communication Theory. The programme will be delivered in 10 sessions of 2.5 days (Thursday evening, Friday and Saturday). The dates for these sessions will be announced as soon as possible.

For 2013-2014 the fee for the Executive programme will be €10,590*. This fee excludes study material, accommodation and meals.
*Thanks to a grant from the Dutch government, NHTV can offer the Master in Media Innovation at a very competitive price. You have to meet the following requirements:
- have the Dutch nationality or the nationality of another country that is part of the EEA, or the Surinamese or Swiss nationality and
- live in the Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, or one of the German federal states of Northern Rhineland-Westphalia, Lower Saxony or Bremen at the time of enrolment (reference date 30 September 2013) and
- don’t already have a master’s degree at the start of the academic year.
Grant for lecturers (‘Lerarenbeurs’):
In recent years the Dutch government encouraged lecturers in Higher Education to obtain a master’s degree by offering a special grant ( ‘Lerarenbeurs’). The IB Group/DUO could only confirm at this point there will be a new “Grant” for 2013-2014, but the details and the new regulations will be announced in no sooner than March 2013. More information on the regulations of last year, can be found on the website of the IB-group. They expect, when the decision has been made in March, the application period of approximately 6 weeks will start immediately.
Candidates for the Master in Media Innovation need a bachelor’s degree in business administration, media studies, communication studies, ICT, or another media-related field. In addition, the English language needs to be demonstrably mastered (TOEFL, IELTS or previous English-language education).
For the Executive Programme we aim for two target groups: People working within the media (related) Industry and lecturers who still need to obtain a master’s degree and who lecture in the areas indicated above. Part of the selection procedure can be an intake interview.
